Ijust installed the Game today, and I made a Uplay account, and waited to get the game started. However, every time I open the game, Uplay does a connecting loop and I can't play the game. I don't know If I am supposed to enter a CD Key or Activation code, because I bought the game via Steam. Ihad this issue in addition to the Uplay launcher crashing upon start up. This is how I solved it. 1)Uninstall the Uplay launcher completely from Control Panel. 2)In Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassin's Creed 2\redist\GameLauncher double click let it patch. So after that, I chose the compatibility with XP of the folder Assassins Creed 2 And finally I ran AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe in the same folder. But when the Uplay is run, create a new account Don't forget copy the game key, when the UPlay will be run. It works in my situation Sorry for my level of English Theproblem is way more simple. Steam and Uplay have data mismatch. With the first being that Steam installs the game in folder Assassin`s Creed 2, where Uplay expects it in Assassin`s Creed II and if its not there, welp I think everyone here knows what happens xDDD. For this the solution is quite easy: 1. Download the game from Steam. 2. 3 Create a shortcut on your desktop for the game exe file. 4. Right click on the shortcut and select Properties. 5. Set the Target to: "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassin's Creed 2\bin\" "-uplay_steam_mode" (Remember to include the quotation marks and change C to which ever drive the game is installed to.) 7. Goto the uplay site, make sure your Xbox 360 is connected to Xbox Live, spend your points on whatever, and you'll get the item. The only item that seems bugged is the AC2 Ibought Black Flag Deluxe on Ubisoft Store about 6-7 days ago and yes, I purchased Revelations Gold about 2 hours ago from a key retailer. By the way, I added Brotherhood Standart and Assassin's Creed 2 Standart Edition to my account when they were on free-to-keep giveaways months ago. I had same issue back then. Thissolution does not work for me. It doesn't appear Uplay is recognized by AC2.-----1. Uninstall Uplay. This can be done from Add or Remove Programs. However, it leaves files behind which you need to delete. 2. Go into Program Files (x86) and delete the entire folder called Ubisoft 3. Restart computer. (This is important for some reason) 4. Iam trying to play assassin creed 2 on Ubisoft connect with my controller but my controller won't work, it works on another game on steam but does not want to work with Ubisoft connect. Does anyone have a fix? Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. For news, discussion and more about Ubisoft's Assassin's Doesnt work, Uplay keeps saying Ubisoft isnt currently available and its been like this on windows and steamdeck. Can you look into this or just remove Uplay as its more of an issue than a benefit.
